What Makes Your Company Unique
Have you thought about your company`s USP? What is the feature that sets you apart from your competitors? All other things being equal, when trying to decide which product or service to buy, a dominant USP can mean the difference between winning and losing business. The best thing to do is to flip the script. Make promises to your customers, but intentionally keep them a little smaller. Tell them you`ll have their individual piece ready in 3 weeks if you know you can do it in 2. Tell them you`ll send them an email within 48 hours if you still respond within 24 hours. By promising too little and delivering too much, you show your customers that you really are the best at what you do. You give the customer additional benefits and bonuses by choosing you. They make sure they are not disappointed. It`s easy to get disappointed when someone makes a big promise and doesn`t deliver as planned. However, if they make a small promise and then give you something big, that`s great! It`s a great way to stand out from the crowd. Ask your employee who just finished this cool project to create an article or post about it and share it on social media.
Tell anecdotes about your employees when describing your company. They don`t have to be fantasy stories, but they have to be human. Call it your culture, your ethics, your moral constitution. Discovering uniqueness is like finding a four-leaf clover in a field of three-leaf monotony. With global population estimates expected to reach 10 billion by 2050 – and consumption increasing accordingly – the world is under increasing pressure to meet food demand. While many are fighting the good fight by investing in funds to achieve higher yields or experimenting with indoor or urban agriculture, *few realize that one of the biggest constraints to food production is the lack of access to the economic resources needed to grow and harvest*. While lack of adequate access to finance is one of the main obstacles to agricultural growth, it is one of the least discussed. ProducePay addresses this challenge by creating a whole new way to finance agriculture to support an industry that is currently severely underfunded by traditional financing (less than 1% of US banks` portfolios are currently focused on agriculture).
With the rapid urbanization of first-world countries, more and more of the fruits and vegetables we eat come from developing countries that have limited or no access to the capital they need to cultivate their land. ProducePay`s innovation stems from our unique ability to create a new way to guarantee perishable fresh produce so farmers get the financing they need to efficiently harvest and ship their produce to the United States. ProducePay created* the first way to securitize fresh perishable products through the use of technology as a financial asset. Using real-time data, the company has developed a digital marketplace that gives farmers financial independence and connects them with fresh produce buyers at the wholesale level. The average academic consultant costs between $5,000 and $40,000 per pop. After hearing these incredible numbers, I wanted to find a way to bring academic advice to the masses to help the average student who REALLY needed help. The average student in a public school has to compete with more than 800 students to get FaceTime with their college advisor. I developed a unique video product with a guided workbook that has now helped thousands of students enter the college of their dreams. My faith: Give more. I was able to create a formula that I`ve already used with high-paying clients and put it in a video format. Nearly 25% of what students learn comes from videos, and I wanted to disrupt the one-on-one consulting industry by creating special video training for teens around the world.
Does your product or service trigger certain emotions in people? De Beers equates its precious diamond jewellery with a lasting commitment: “A diamond is forever.” Delta promised travelers that not only would they get from here to there safely, but that they would “love the way we fly.” You need to open up your business to possibilities and you need to show some of your own uniqueness. Let this personality show you what you have to offer and why you are different from others who offer the same product or service. You can easily fall in love with your personality if you let it, and then you have a customer for life. They also have an instant feature that makes you different and that no one else can copy.
