This policy is intended to ensure fairness and consistency for all applicants and no exceptions are made. The following entry points are available for this course: The £1,000 RUK Excellence Scholarship for each academic year is awarded to first-year students who have achieved AAA or better in an A-level (or equivalent) session for 2022. The Clan Gregor Society awards an award to new entrants to the University of Glasgow who are descended from Clan Gregor. Prospective students are encouraged to submit an application highlighting areas such as academic excellence and financial need. The award is open to undergraduate and postgraduate applicants for entry in 2023. Glasgow has a long and proud tradition of financial support for talented students who may not be able to take a place at university for financial reasons. Our RoI Access Scholarship is part of our commitment to continue to attract and support students from diverse backgrounds. For entry into 2022, the RoI scholarship is up to £2,000 for your first year of study and £1,000 for subsequent years. Students who meet the admission requirements for specializations will take a combination of compulsory and optional courses, depending on their specialization program: this is the deadline to complete and submit applications for this course.
If the university or college still has vacancies, you can apply after this date, but your application is guaranteed not to be considered. Note: You do not need to have already earned a degree in economics to enter the first year of this program. 2.1 Honours degree or non-UK equivalent in economics or related subjects with a significant technical component (e.g. mathematics, statistics, physics, engineering) You must also make a personal statement clearly demonstrating a strong desire for an academic career in economics and demonstrating exposure to multivariate calculus, matrix algebra and basic probabilities/statistics. Only academic references are accepted. Referees know applicants as students/researchers, not as interns or working in the private/public sector. Applicants are encouraged to submit any additional (academic) documents that they believe will support their application. In addition to the standard documents, you should also include an academic curriculum vitae as well as a brief description (no more than 1000 words) of your academic economic background and previous education. This should include a list of grades obtained in economics, mathematics, statistics, and related courses, as well as a brief summary of the content of those courses, including the main textbooks used and where the study was conducted. The University of Glasgow offers up to 30 undergraduate scholarships for students of African/Afro-Caribbean descent.
The scholarship supports students who may have financial difficulties to take their place at university. The value of the scholarship is £2,000, paid in instalments for the first year of undergraduate study. The scholarship is open to new applicants from the university for admission in 2023. The University of Glasgow offers up to 20 Sanctuary Scholarships to university applicants who are in the UK on humanitarian grounds and face challenges in the transition to higher education. The scholarship is open to prospective undergraduate and graduate students at the University of Glasgow who apply in September 2023/24.
