Legal Career Coaching
Finding the right career coach is a process. Part of this process is getting an idea of that person, because in addition to answering your question, you`ll get to know them a little better on your first few calls. If they have a podcast or YouTube channel and only their website and social media, you already have an idea of what this coach is. I do not even know if I want to go, but it is just to say, to answer your question, that we are not outliers. On the contrary, I find that you and I, our services are at the bottom of the ladder, whereas last year I joined a group program for my company and it was $10,000. I paid for it and it was worth it. It was 1000% worth it. Just for a framework, and I don`t know if that`s another way of thinking it`s in terms of legal services. Think about it, if a client asks for help, will they go to a large law firm for that? Are they going to go to a boutique company for this or are they just going to go to a GP? Think about the range of costs involved. Most lawyers face a variety of interpersonal challenges in the workplace. Between the high stakes, billable hours, and the challenges inherent in law firms` business model, law firms have more than their share of stressed and moody people. As a result, it can be especially difficult to get what you need from your partners, employees, and customers. Or, of course, despite their reputation for being less intensive than law firms, in-house legal departments still have their share of management, communication, and interpersonal challenges.

You can find someone who could be a more general career coach and they are newer, they may not have certifications and will therefore be much more affordable. They will be able to help you, they will not hurt you, but the results you want will vary much more in terms of time and efficiency. As you show up to someone who has more experience, a little more training and simply has more processes, they will demand more and so on. Depending on the results you want and the time you want to achieve those results, the dollar amount will increase. Annie Little: Think about it, would you use a general recruiter to get another job as a lawyer? No, you would hire a legal recruiter because they understand the difference and what your resume should look like. Because some of the general career advice, as you said, is not that it can be completely opposite and hurtful to your legal career.
