The National Legal Services Authority (NALSA) is the central authority that provides free legal assistance to the poor, vulnerable and needy. NALSA`s goal is to build a national network for the provision of free and comprehensive legal services. The DLSA and TLSC (Taluk Legal Services Committees) have a separate group of lawyers for legal literacy courses, legal aid lawyers for civil and criminal matters, and legal advisors attending legal aid clinics. DLSA and TLSC regularly organize Lok Adalath every other Saturday. Also performs special adalaaths to settle pre-litigation issues and settle all types of composite cases before different courts.
